Abstract :
For pt.III (word processing) see ibid., vol.9, no.3, p.49-51 (Oct. 1990). Public-domain and shareware application programs useful in an academic setting, with emphasis on electrical engineering course-work requirements, are discussed. Two packages were judged to meet the criteria for student use: EDRAW and PC-KEY-DRAW. These specialized packages can make it easy to sketch arbitrary diagrams, symbols, and figures, such as might be required to illustrate a laboratory equipment setup.<>
