Abstract :
This paper presents the design method of the dynamic quantizer under the data rate constraints. It is well known that feedback type dynamic quantizers such as Delta/Sigma modulator are effective for quantization of data series and many design methods of the dynamic quantizers have been proposed. To achieve good performance, it is required to design with explicit consideration about the data rate. The design problem under the data rate constraint was formulated by our previous researches. In this paper, the dynamic quantizer is designed by using particle swarm optimization method to achieve good control performance. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by numerical simulations.
