Abstract :
This letter proposes a joint channel estimation and synchronization algorithm for impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) communication. High-speed sampling and 1-bit quantization at the receiver are assumed to achieve high data rate with reasonable complexity. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm works well when inter-symbol interference (ISI) is ignored during the preamble period.
