Abstract :
A distributed cooperative control method for load sharing of parallel converters is proposed. Using consensus-voting protocols, the need for a master converter or a central controller is eliminated. The proposed modular structure does not require a priori knowledge of the number of active converters, which makes it a viable option for plug-and-play operational framework. Moreover, additional links in the communication graph offers enhanced reliability. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the distributed current sharing method for a parallel four-converter system, and show resiliency against the loss of converters or communication links.
