Abstract :
A mathematical method is proposed for optimal scheduling lead-acid batteries for cycling use in this work. Typical battery characteristic curves and experiential data, including the discharge rate vs. discharge time, discharge depth vs. cycling times, are first converted into mathematical expressions with consideration of the circumstance temperature. And then through the proposed optimization algorithm aiming at the minimum capital cost, the recommended battery capacity, installation plan, discharge depth and discharge rate are derived, benefiting the designers and customers. A case study is carried out finally to verify the design procedure and optimization algorithm.
