Abstract
This paper presents a multi-agent system that is constructed to assist commuters walking home following a disaster. This system employs multiple mobile software agents on mobile ad hoc network (MANET) that is temporarily constructed with participants´ smartphones. The mobile agents disseminate positive and negative information in the MANET as well as collect information. Upon retrieving the information, the system proposes the return route and presents it on the smartphone. As a result of experiments on a simulator, we have observed that the system can provide complete return routes when there are enough participants.
