Abstract :
This paper presents a Markov model and an exact analysis of the performance of an adaptive go-back-N (GBN) scheme in a time-varying channel. This analysis provides fundamental insight into the operation of the scheme in a time-varying channel, and the effects of various system parameters and system design parameters.
