Abstract :
Trade unions are not reknowned for being at the cutting edge: instead, their public image is often one of entrenched, old-fashioned idealism, led by militants who refuse to embrace modern technology and accept its implications for the 21st century workforce. And if you??re fighting such a battle for your members, how much harder is it to implement a similar setup internally? If technology can reduce the need for staff, perhaps it´s easier to avoid the subject and continue with the status quo.
