Abstract
The application of a processor to automatically prevent or minimize interruption or degradation of electric power aboard a warship is described. The concepts used to analyze inputs, make decisions, and select instantaneous corrective action as necessary are described. The intent is to show that the system philosophy used in the frigate meets the critical requirements for the electric supply system aboard any ship.
