Abstract :
The aim of this work was to examine the factors that might be involved in producing the epochs of coordination between fetal and maternal heart rate by comparing the occurrence of such coordination under conditions of spontaneous and controlled maternal breathing with the occurrence of coordinated epochs produced by a simple model of the experimental conditions.
