Abstract :
A new configuration for the microwave active filter based on integrated waveguide technology is described. A filtering structure is formed by an evanescent mode rectangular waveguide loaded with dielectric slabs. A Gunn diode is used to compensate for dissipative losses. The transmission matrix model has been used to determine a configuration of the microwave active filter and complex admittance of the active element providing full compensation of insertion loss. The measured results have confirmed theoretical predictions
