Abstract :
As the title indicates, the book is an attempt to bridge the gap between two fields of engineering, digital communications and microwave. As a microwave engineer, I find the book interesting and appropriate for my background, but I would not suggest that any microwave engineer learning about digital communications start with this text. The preface of the book states that “…the reader of this book has been exposed to the fundamentals of communications systems.” For the reader who has taken “beginner” courses in digital communications and probability theory, the book offers state-of-the-art techniques in microwave digital communications.
