Abstract
I find that it is possible to use the unstable periodic orbits (UPO´s) from a chaotic system to approximate a chaotic signal from that system. The UPO´s are used to create possible sequences of motion for the chaotic system, and these possible sequences are then compared to a noise-contaminated chaotic signal to determine which possible sequence is the best estimate for the noise-free signal. The comparison process has some similarity to CDMA
