Abstract
Databases can be seen as social entities, since they are used by a group of users, not a single one. This article describes methods to transform this group into a social network and then use the added social dimension for collaborative tasks. The author defines user similarity based on the similarity of SQL statements and proposes ways to let users add tags or metadata to the databas. This user-generated content is stored with the data it refers to.
