Abstract :
An investigation into using the Desargues measure to calibrate the radial lens distortion of cameras is presented. The measure is proven to be invariant under rotation, translation, and perspective transformations. Based on the measure, a polynomial equation of 4th degree is derived, which can be solved analytically to determine the lens distortion coefficient
