Happy Trails [From the Editor's Desk]

This is my last issue of IEEE Microwave Magazine as editor-in-chief. It has been my great pleasure and an honor to work with numerous feature authors, columnists, and guest editors over the last three years to bring you, the members of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S), the highest quality and most interesting material possible. One of my primary goals has been to hone the focus of our technical features to provide overview-style articles on the state of the art. As we are all aware, new discoveries and directions in microwave engineering are occurring at such an accelerated pace that it is hard to keep track of our own topic area, much less those outside of our expertise.
