  • Abstract
Due to static and dynamic loads it is necessary that especially steel structures - depending on the hazard potential - be monitored in a more or less continuous manner. In this paper we present - based on micro magnetic parameters - a novel CI-based method which enables the detection of even small cracks by a special way of signal analysis and show how to increase the predictive value of damage and the information content of the sensor signals.
