Abstract :
Near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging has become an important modality for the non-invasive imaging of living tissues because of its low absorption and scattering. Although NIR fluorescence imaging has the capability of non-invasive deep tissue imaging with a low auto-fluorescence, its spatial resolution is not enough to show a three-dimensional object´s location with an anatomical resolution. To overcome this problem, we have developed NIR fluorescent multimodal nanoprobes for non-invasive tissue imaging.
