Abstract :
A modified reduced-state sequencer estimator (RSSE) with a reverse-time structure is proposed for postcursor dominated impulse response channels. This structure can provide significant performance improvements over a conventional RSSE of similar complexity for a well-defined and practically motivated class of channels
