Abstract :
Field tests have been conducted with a prototype duplicate microprocessor-based governor for a hydro-turbine. The control strategy used in the governor determines the control parameters using an intelligent self-improvement procedure for no-load and loaded conditions. A brief description of the control strategy and implementation is given, and the results of the field tests are described
