Abstract
This paper proposes the application of Fractional-Order (FO) control in the area of power electronics for Z-Source Inverter (ZSI). Bode´s ideal transfer function will be used as a reference system in controller design. An approximation to the FO Integrator is obtained by modified Oustaloup´s Recursive Approximation (ORA). In addition, comparison between Integer-Order (IO) controller and FO controller is carried out. The report also shows that, under the same design conditions, the FO controller has a better behavior than the classical IO controller.
