Abstract :
An interference coordination well suited to OFDMA based wireless network in which cells are divided into special region with various frequency reuse factors, is termed as Fractional Frequency Reuse (FFR). This research focuses on the concept as well working of FFR in Hexagonal geometrical structure for systematic frame work and evaluation. The scheme includes the extensive literature review of both concepts as well as previous research works. The study concludes the need of a simulator for examining and analyzing FFR in orthogonal as well as in synchronous cellular systems. With comparison to the traditional grid model in cellular system, the hexagonal geometry is much consistent with Omni base stations. Therefore, a simulator is designed for the same which is very useful in the industry.
