Abstract :
The logistics system gets evolved into autonomous cooperating meta-system through adopting system-of-system theory. Since logistics meta-system operates in tentative environment, its architecture and operation endure dynamic complexity from the viewpoint of dependability management. Moreover, its dependability such as performance, reliability and life assurance may be degraded by intrinsic system aging nature. Thus, this paper presents a degradation model of logistics meta-system for autonomic dependability management. Numerical results show that it is useful to adapt the maintenance planning and decisions to meta-system state by enhancing the general understanding of dependability analysis. A direction for future work is proposed to suitably develop general system-of-system dependability management.
