Abstract
This paper presents a voltage regulation scheme for a Three-phase self-excited induction generator (SEIG) feeding a single-phase load in stand-alone configuration. The proposed scheme uses switching of three-phase capacitor banks using triacs. The switching signals for the triacs at appropriate instants are generated by comparing the actual load voltage with a reference voltage. The simulation study for this scheme has been done in Simulink environment. Both simulation and experimental results have been presented in the paper for an induction machine of 2 hp rating.
