Abstract :
Fault detection has been in the top priority in power system at it´s the initial state of isolating system under fault and its process of correcting. The wavelets have been used for this purpose much earlier. This paper analyses various unsymmetrical faults in power system using Morlet wavelet and various impacts of faults current and voltage. Further it analysis various ways of preventing faults from happening by detecting the initial impacts of faults.
