Abstract :
This letter first introduces a simple approach to evaluate performance bounds at very low bit-error-rate range for binary pseudo-product codes and true-product codes. Then it presents a super-product BCH code together with a novel decoding technique. It is shown that the proposed code can achieve near-Shannon limit performance with low decoding complexity.
