Abstract
A theoretical analysis of the use of optical injection to control chaotic dynamics arising in an external cavity semiconductor laser has been undertaken. The work examines a master/slave laser configuration where chaos arising in the slave laser is shown to be replaced by periodic dynamics, and ultimately steady-state behaviour with increasing optical injection from the continuous wave master laser
