Abstract
Nanotechnology has experienced rapid growth over the past 30 years. Since the invention of the scanning tunneling microscope and atomic force microscope in the 1980s, researchers have made exciting discoveries and business professionals have identified the commercial possibilities of nanotechnology. While many people remain unaware of nanotechnology and its applications, these breakthroughs have already made a permanent impression.
