Abstract :
An electronic circuit for the generation of a periodic band test signal is presented. The operating principle of the proposed circuit is based on synchronous manipulation of the amplitude of the carrier signal by a pseudorandom sequence that produces a signal of a wide spectrum around the carrier frequency. Synchronisation is obtained by deriving the binary modulating signal from a carrier frequency by means of a frequency divider. A control digital signal for synchronous sampling is also provided with a dedicated timing circuitry.
