Abstract
The amount of valuable information shared and hosted online is increasing with an astonishing speed and the real challenge now-days is to be caught up with all that is happening near you from music festivals, concerts and operas to conferences, book launches and charity events. This is made easy by multiple social services that offer the possibility of crawling and mining data in real-time, but the true task is offering a consistent result by combining all these pieces of information. With the help of Linked Data we set as a goal to provide clear, reliable and easy accessible event related information from multiple sources in order to offer a wider view of the activities in a specific geographical area of interest. By taking advantage of the semantic web technologies, we gather, filter, categorize and store the event related information from a desired location that will finally be presented to the user in the form of a list or on a map.
