Abstract :
To improve the performance of Peak-to-Average power ratio in Multi-input Multi-output Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems and the spectral efficiency, a low-complexity blind cross-antenna successive shifting rotation and inversion (Blind-CASSRI) scheme is proposed. The algorithm based on the successive suboptimal CARI (SS-CARI) scheme increased the number of candidate sequences by using cyclic shifting in each sub-block. With analyzing characteristics of IFFT transformation and space-time block coding (STBC), the complexity of PAPR reduction can be further dropped. Through inserting pilot tone, designing the constellation mapping and a new decision criterion, the algorithm can achieve signal restoration in the receiving terminal without side information (SI). Simulation results show that, regarding PAPR, the Blind-CASSRI scheme out performs the original sequence by 3.8 dB when the number of sub-blocks is 16 and the value of Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF) is 3 10 , which is superior to SS-CARI. Furthermore, the BER performance of Blind-CASSRI scheme approximates the SS-CARI system with the ideal SI in AWGN channels or Rayleign fading channels.
