Abstract :
A method of using a computer to design high-frequency circuits is described. This method basically involves the generation of a Smith Chart using a personal computer (PC). The usefulness of the computer-generated Smith Chart is demonstrated through the design of a high-frequency transistor amplifier. The measured gain of an amplifier built with design parameters thus obtained compared favourably with theoretical estimates
