Abstract :
A model reduction algorithm for causal recursive separable denominator (CRSD) 2-D digital systems is proposed. The algorithm is based on a quasi-Kalman decomposition (QKD) method for 1-D systems. The proposed method yields horizontal and vertical sets of finite Gramians. In each set the finite controllability and observability Gramians are equal and diagonal. An example is given to illustrate the method
