  • Abstract
    This paper derives optimum policies for a simple system which undergoes both preventive maintenance and repair-limit maintenance simultaneously. First we obtain policies which maximize availability, and then numerical examples show that a joint policy is at least sometimes better than the existing policies for repairable systems.
