  • Abstract
The Soviet Union´s mission to rendezvous with and repair the Salyut 7 Space Station, which had gotten out of control, is described. This was the Soviets´ first attempt to dock with an uncontrolled object, and some of their instruments were being used for the first time. Both the equipment and the procedures used are detailed.<>
