  • Abstract
    In the US power system, PhasorPoint was first used at ISO New England to provide monitoring and visualization of synchrophasor data. A comprehensive engineering analysis was then conducted by ALSTOM/Psymetrix on New England power system to fine tune the parameters used in oscillation and disturbance monitoring. The engineering analysis process is described in this paper and case studies are presented. Recorded examples show that PhasorPoint can improve situational awareness and benefit power system operations.
