  • Abstract
    The IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) is renowned for highly acclaimed standards such as the Color Book series, the best practice go-to guide for industrial and commercial power systems and equipment. The IAS continues to work on developing machine standards as well. The Society is now cosponsoring P1812 with the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) to write the first comprehensive standard for testing permanent magnet machines. The Electric Machines Committee (EMC) is the technical committee codrafting P1812.
