Case study: Transmission and distribution network projects that are enabling the integration of renewables

This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s conference presentation. Some of the specific areas/topics discussed include; new challenges will exist for the stable operation of the transmission and distribution network; energy storage will help address a number of network related issues on networks with high levels of renewable generation; interconnectors will have a very significant role to play; real progress now being made with network technology helping to integrate new forms of renewable generation.
