Abstract :
With representative frank thompson (D-N.J.), chairman of the house subcommittee on labor management relations, expected to reintroduce a bill in the first days of the 95th session of the Congress that would attempt to protect professional employees, including engineers, under the terms of the service contract act of 1965 (Spectrum, Nov. 1976, p. 62), IEEE´s U.S. activities board is struggling to line up support for such legislation from professional and industry groups.
