Abstract :
"No force has been so influential in promoting the rapid progress of our profession and our industry as the hardwon fight to publish." Although these words were spoken in 1978,?? they refer to a privilege that was forged in some heat and argument in the early days of our profession (circa 1912, when the American Institute of Electrical Engineers was coming to grips with the creation of a code of ethics).
