Abstract :
This pair of 12-bit, dual-in-line packaged D/A and A/D converters is available with all the necessary circuitry to interface to microprocessor systems. Although other 12-bit and lower-resolution D/A and A/D converters are available with microprocessor interface circuitry, this pair ¿ the MN3500 D/A and MN5500 A/D ¿ are the first 12-bit units with total interfacing capabilities, available in a dual-in-line package. Thus, designers using them need not purchase additional multichannel I/O boards and design interface circuitry, as they would normally have to do using other converters.
