Abstract :
Wireless ad hoc and sensor networks are starting to play a fundamental role in everybody´s life. We already have several applications of pervasive, sensor-rich, wireless network-interconnected computers and devices embedded in the environment. The requirement for a pervasive network almost implies using wireless networks as the easiest solution for providing large-scale interconnection and supporting multiple scenarios, ranging from multimedia distribution to earthquake engineering. Due to their flexibility, easy deployment, low cost, and mobility, mobile wireless networks are now more and more a reality.
