Abstract :
The first meeting of the Cleveland Section for the season of 1911–1912 was held in the library of the Chamber of Commerce on September 18, with Chairman B. A. Stowe presiding. The invitation from Mr. W. M. Faber, steam engineer, to the members of the Cleveland Section to visit the central furnaces and Newburg plants of the American Steel and Wire Company, was accepted, and arrangements were made for a joint inspection trip of the Section with the Cleveland Engineering Society on September 22. The plans of the Section for the coming year were discussed, and a number of committees were appointed.
