Abstract :
MR. RICHARD A. TURNER, of Richard A. Turner and Company, electrical engineers and contractors, Springfield, Mass., died on June 2, 1911, after an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Turner was born in Willimantic, Conn., on February 19, 1875, and received his education in the Willimantic High School and Lehigh University. From 1897 to 1905 he. was in the employ of a number of large electrical contracting concerns. In 1906 he entered the employ of Fred T. Ley and Company, of Springfield, Mass., as superintendent of construction, where he had responsible charge of a number of important installations of electrical power in mills. He subsequently organized the firm of Richard A. Turner and Company. Mr. Turner became an Associate of the Institute on August 14, 1908.
