The President: This is a subject in which we all are vitally interested. There probably has been more done in the last five or six years in the development of prime movers than was accomplished in the previous 20 years. This serves to emphasize the importance of considering the question of depreciation in the broad way in which the author has approached it, and I wish to call attention to the happy manner in which he has expressed it. As an illustration of the truth of what he has said, I might cite something that may be of interest to you.
