Abstract
This study assesses the reliability of a 2-unit hot-standby redundant system with an imperfect switch. The prior knowledge of experts is used in the assessment through Bayes theorem. Bayes interval limits for the system reliability are presented. The predictive distribution of the first failure time of the system is formulated.
