Abstract :
Discusses the 1950s to 1970s experiences with the use of off-peak electricity, taking into account both the residential and industrial users. Devices available in late 1970s to consumers in Britain are discussed. These include radiators, fan heaters, systems with ducting, floor-warming cables and water heaters.
