Abstract :
A novel optical filter with a modified Rowland grating structure is proposed and has been fabricated. The passband width was 50 GHz with an output waveguide width of 0.5 μm, which was one channel of the dense wavelength division multiplexed (DWDM) system. The fabricated device also showed a compact footprint of less than 0.1 mm2.
