New product applications: 1-MBd modems link microcomputers and minicomputers at up to 10 440 m over coaxial cable

The Megalink family of high-speed coaxial-cable modems interconnects, without need for repeaters, microcomputer and minicomputer systems over distances up to 15 240 m, depending on the data rate and the type of cable used. They are intended for point-to-point, as well as multi-drop party-line operations, in either synchronous or asynchronous modes.
