  • Abstract
Isolating nuclear wastes for thousands of years is a problem for today´s technology. The most highly radioactive wastes are only in temporary storage. Many experts believe, however, that permanent disposal methods are within reach in the United States. What they are not so sure of is public confidence in any solution.
